Long relegated to the lowest rungs of the culinary ladder, the food truck has been experiencing a renaissance of late. In New York, and in cities throughout the country, ambitious entrepreneurs have been rehabilitating the image of these mobile eateries.

Our subjects include Kim Ima, of the Treats Truck who is bringing delicious baked goods to Midtown Manhatthan. Kenny Lao, whose popular Rickshaw Dumpling Bar has taken Peking duck stuffed dumplings to the streets. Lastly, Jared Eggers’ Endless Summer truck is thriving from sales of burritos and fish tacos on a hip corner in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
